Trans4mine Specialist

Description:

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) is seeking a Trans4mine Specialist to join its international cross-divisional team, working on cutting-edge mining solutions including digitalization, automation, and mine electrification technologies. The position is remote within Canada, with up to 30% travel for domestic and international assignments.

You will report to the Global Trans4mine Manager and support Sandvik's global sales areas and equipment divisions. Your main focus will be to transform customer needs into viable, sustainable mining solutions through technical insight, software expertise, and collaborative strategy execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and development of digital, automated, and electrified mining technologies

• Conduct readiness studies and identify customer requirements

• Perform value quantification, trade-off analysis, and mine plan assessments

• Operate and interpret outputs from mine planning and simulation software

• Assist in fleet size calculations, fleet selection, tender documentation, and framework agreement support

• Act as liaison between customer sites and the Trans4mine team to ensure best practices and sustainable operational improvements

Candidate Profile:

You are a motivated and technically proficient professional with a deep understanding of mining environments, especially underground operations. You excel at working both independently and within teams across cultures and time zones. Your strong communication skills allow you to translate complex technical needs into actionable business strategies.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Mining or Industrial Engineering

• Experience with Deswik and simulation tools such as MineGame, Simo, or Arena

• Strong computer and data analysis skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Project management experience is a plus

• Fluency in English (written and verbal)

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
