TY Lin, a globally recognized infrastructure consulting firm with over 3,000 employees across the Americas, Asia, and Europe, is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer – Project Manager to join its City Solutions team in the Greater Toronto Area. The Traffic Engineer – Project Manager will play a crucial role in managing and executing transportation engineering projects of varying complexity, from traffic impact assessments to large-scale transportation infrastructure planning. This position requires a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario with a solid background in transportation planning, traffic operations, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the preparation of proposals, project budgets, and schedules for traffic and transportation planning and design assignments.
Conduct traffic impact studies, feasibility analyses, functional and detailed designs for highways, intersections, and roads, as well as parking demand investigations and site impact analyses.
Lead field surveys, site visits, and observational studies to gather accurate data for projects.
Manage client communications, approval processes, and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.
Participate in progress meetings, public consultations, and presentations.
Mentor junior staff, coordinate project work, and ensure technical quality in all facets of transportation planning and engineering.
Provide regular project updates, status reports, and ensure timely deliverables.
Stay updated with municipal and provincial standards, transportation safety measures, and industry advancements.
Collaborate with senior management on business development and promotional initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in transportation/traffic engineering.
Strong expertise in transportation planning and engineering including:
Data collection, processing, and management.
Transportation modeling and simulation.
Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) standards and municipal requirements.
Functional planning, transportation safety analysis, traffic staging analysis, traffic impact studies, and transit studies.
Proven ability to lead traffic analysis, produce clear reports, and deliver findings to clients.

High ethical standards, commitment to innovation, and ability to work collaboratively in diverse and inclusive teams.
RAQS certification eligibility considered an asset.
Compensation & Benefits:
The role offers a competitive salary of $68,000 – $85,000 annually ($5,667 – $7,083 monthly) along with a comprehensive total rewards package.
