Test Specialist Intern

Description:

CAE, a world-class leader in aviation simulation, is seeking a Test Specialist Intern to support engineers and senior pilots in developing and executing tests on flight simulators. This internship is designed for students pursuing a university degree in electrical, physical, or mechanical engineering, ideally with an aeronautical specialization. The role offers a hybrid work environment at CAE Montréal and provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in aviation systems testing, simulator acceptance, and qualification processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of full-flight simulators’ acceptance and qualification documentation under the supervision of a test engineer.

• Perform functionality tests on various aircraft systems within simulators.

• Communicate test results to engineers responsible for simulator design and integration.

• Create or improve test documents to optimize the acceptance and qualification of simulators.

Candidate Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Currently pursuing a university degree in electrical, physical, or mechanical engineering (3rd or 4th year completed).

• Specialization in aeronautical engineering is an asset.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong interest in aviation and holding a pilot’s license is highly desirable.

• Proactive and capable of working independently.

• Demonstrated leadership and effective communication skills.

• Bilingual in French and English.

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) requirements.

Additional Requirements:

• Submission of CGP forms and proof of identity (passport or birth certificate) required.

• Work permit holders must provide a valid permit and police clearance certificate.

• Security background checks may take a minimum of 16 weeks for international students.
