Description:

Carlton Cards, the No. 1 greeting card company in Canada, is seeking a motivated and bilingual (French/English) Territory Manager (Gestionnaire de Territoire) to join its team. This role will be based remotely in Lévis, QC, and will cover several regions including Trois-Rivières, the south of Quebec, Beauce, and Rimouski.

The Territory Manager plays a key role in driving business growth through exceptional customer service for both independent and chain retail stores within the assigned region. Reporting to the District Supervisor, you will be responsible for meticulous planning and execution of daily sales visits, building and maintaining strong client relationships, communicating store performance results, expanding display space, leveraging field service tools, and leading a team of merchandisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales and operational excellence while contributing to financial objectives by meeting service model targets and managing budgets, expenses, and credits for your region.

  • Execute account presentations, trade marketing initiatives, promotions, point-of-sale materials, and merchandising displays to ensure maximum impact.

  • Lead and motivate a team of merchandisers by recruiting, training, coaching, and providing ongoing guidance to ensure high performance.

  • Strengthen and grow relationships with all assigned accounts, fostering client loyalty and expanding business opportunities.

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop existing accounts by leveraging market insights.

  • Act as Carlton Cards’ representative in the field by monitoring and reporting on client, consumer, and competitor activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in outside sales or retail.

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Bilingualism (French and English) required.

  • High-energy, results-driven, and motivated to achieve top performance.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with proven time management ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail with timely follow-up capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Previous experience in the greeting card or consumer goods sector would be an asset.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips (by car and small aircraft when necessary).

  • Valid passport or eligibility to obtain travel documents.
