Description:
Responsible to maintain the integrity of the PSL, as well as the sterility and safety lines of the Air Terminal Building by patrolling (on foot) on a regular basis at irregular intervals. In addition, the guard(s) respond to calls from SOC/IOC to reset doors, respond to alarms and/or investigate security breaches on the PSL, sterility and safety lines.

Who you are:
- Minimum 1-year of previous security experience, preferably in Aviation
- Agile, vigilant, and able to detect problems, react quickly and take appropriate action
- Adaptable/flexible with the ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced, agile, fluctuating, and demanding work environment
- Meet qualifications to be bonded and capable to clear a pre-employment Criminal Background check
- Must possess and maintain a valid Alberta Drivers Licence with a clean Driver's abstract
- Licensed by the Province of Alberta as a registered Security Guard
- First Aid Certificate
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Transportation Security Clearance and a Calgary Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC). Prior possession of a RAIC is strongly preferred.
- Able to work a rotating 24/7 shift schedule, including nights weekends and holidays
- Must be physically capable of walking at a brisk pace, running, and climbing stairs (to maintain surveillance), and physically capable of performing all job duties in description/posting
- Must be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing in English
- Must be able to produce documents in Microsoft Word, send and receive e-mails at time of
- Have solid report writing skills
- Successful completion of all required training/certification courses, including the initial and annual recurrent Access Control Guard Training/Certification, Airside Vehicle Operators Licence training/testing; post-specific OJT and practical training in radio procedures, usage and communications is a pre-requisite for employment
Responsibilities:
- Continuous patrol & monitoring of the Air Terminal Building
- Respond to calls from the SOC/IOC to:
- Reset doors and/or investigate security breaches on the PSL and unattended bags/items
- Pick-up Lost & Found items
- Configure Non-Sterile corridors
- Respond to door and washroom alarms
