Liberty Personnel Services, Inc., a well-respected leader in the Building Automation and Energy industry, is seeking a skilled HVAC Controls – Building Automation Systems Technician to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC automated control systems across commercial and industrial environments. You will work with advanced systems that include RTUs, air handlers, VAV boxes, heat pumps, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and heat exchangers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain BAS/DDC control systems for HVAC equipment.

  • Work with systems such as rooftop units (RTUs), air handlers, VAV boxes, heat pumps, chillers, pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, and cooling towers.

  • Conduct system diagnostics and ensure equipment operates at optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with team members and clients to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Provide service and maintenance on automated building systems to ensure comfort, energy efficiency, and reliability.

  • Programming BAS/DDC systems (experience is a plus but not required).

  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of BAS/DDC control system experience with HVAC automated control systems.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment including RTUs, VAV boxes, chillers, boilers, heat pumps, and pumps.

  • Programming experience is considered an asset, though not mandatory.

  • Experience with Alerton software is a plus.

  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites as required.

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to various control systems such as Tridium, Distech, Automated Logic, Carrier, Johnson Controls, Trane, Siemens, Honeywell, and others.

  • Familiarity with protocols including BACnet, MODbus, LON, and LonWorks.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical aptitude.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a service team.
