Technical Solutions Architect

The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking team based in Halifax or Toronto, with flexibility for remote work.

As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in technical leadership and architectural planning. This role not only demands deep technical acumen but also strategic thinking, mentorship abilities, and effective communication skills. You will be expected to provide both high-level solution direction and hands-on involvement in the design and implementation of software systems. You will manage and coach a small team, taking responsibility for their growth and performance, while ensuring successful delivery of complex software projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and design of scalable, modern, multi-tiered software systems.

• Work closely with customer architects to align technical solutions with business objectives.

• Address and prioritize non-functional requirements like performance, security, and scalability.

• Leverage public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS components.

• Mentor junior team members and actively contribute to their professional development.

• Collaborate with peers to define architectural standards and best practices.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and help drive innovation in projects.

• Communicate architectural concepts clearly through documentation and presentations.

Minimum (Essential) Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex software designs.

• Solid understanding of complete solution architecture frameworks.

• Strong communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern software development environments.

• Experience in team management and coaching.
