Description:
Ericsson Canada is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join its AI & Data team within the Cloud Software & Services (CSS) business. This role involves leading and coordinating projects focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI, driving innovation and ensuring successful delivery of data-driven technology solutions aligned with Ericsson’s strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing technical projects, strong leadership skills, knowledge of AI/ML concepts, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities include:
Defining project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables aligned with business and technology initiatives.
Coordinating the design, development, and deployment of AI and Generative AI solutions tailored to Ericsson’s CSS portfolio.
Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
Supporting the integration of Generative AI into existing Ericsson products and services.
Leading cross-functional teams, including data scientists, AI architects, cloud engineers, and stakeholders.
Acting as the primary contact for project stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication of progress and challenges.
Translating complex AI-related concepts into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders.
Applying project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall to ensure smooth workflows.
Driving continuous process improvements across AI and Generative AI initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in technical project management within AI, Data Science, or software development environments.
Strong knowledge of project management frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
Familiarity with AI concepts, algorithms, Generative AI models, and cloud technologies.
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Proven track record of delivering technical projects on time and within scope.
Experience managing projects involving AI SaaS platforms, ML model development, or cloud computing.
Basic programming knowledge or experience with AI/ML tools is a plus.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Telecom industry or Ericsson-specific AI/Data project experience is an asset.
