Technical Lead

Description:

OpenText, a global leader in information management, is seeking a Salesforce Technical Lead with strong expertise in Salesforce data migration to lead complex enterprise-level data migration projects. This role requires planning, designing, and implementing end-to-end migration strategies from legacy or external systems into Salesforce, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and high-quality results.

As a key contributor, you will:

• Migration Strategy & Planning: Define the Salesforce data migration roadmap, analyze source systems, and plan extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) strategies.

• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor teams of developers, analysts, and data engineers to execute migration plans while ensuring adherence to Salesforce best practices.

• Data Mapping & Transformation: Design and validate mappings between legacy systems and Salesforce objects, including field-level conversions, deduplication, enrichment, and normalization.

• ETL Development & Execution: Oversee development of migration scripts, APIs, and batch jobs using tools like Informatica, MuleSoft, Talend, Jitterbit, or custom scripts (Python, SQL).

• Data Quality & Validation: Establish robust data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms, conduct trial migrations, and manage user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Environment & Cutover Management: Plan and manage data loads across all environments, ensuring smooth cutovers and readiness for production migration.

• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create detailed documentation, maintain audit logs, and provide training to operations teams for post-migration support.

This position is ideal for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional with proven expertise in large data volume migrations, Salesforce Bulk API, and data integration tools.

Qualifications:

• 8–12+ years of experience in enterprise data projects, including 4+ years in Salesforce data migration.

• Hands-on expertise with Salesforce Data Loader, APIs, SOQL, Bulk API, and large-volume data handling.

• Proficiency with ETL/Integration tools (Informatica, MuleSoft, Talend, Boomi, etc.).

• Strong SQL and data profiling skills.

• Experience with multiple full-cycle Salesforce migration projects (Sales, Service, CPQ, etc.).

Preferred Certifications:

• Salesforce Certified Data Architecture and Management Designer

• Salesforce Platform Developer or Administrator Certification

• Relevant ETL tool certifications (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, MuleSoft Developer)
