We are currently seeking an Technical Environment Engineer to join a dynamic development team supporting one of our major financial clients.
Role Summary
The Technical Environment Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of QAT and non-production environments across complex enterprise platforms. This role leads incident triage and resolution, performs advanced technical troubleshooting, and serves as a key liaison between application teams, infrastructure teams, and external partners. Exceptional communication skills and strong ownership are essential to drive timely issue resolution and continuous improvement.
Must Have Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in QA, web development, supporting QAT and non-production environments in enterprise-scale systems
- Strong experience handling, prioritizing, and resolving incidents and service requests using tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow
- Experience performing QA activities including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Proven ability to analyze system, application, and infrastructure logs to diagnose and resolve issues
- Solid understanding of APIs, endpoints, and service integrations
- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, OpenShift, ELK stack, and AWS
- Ability to lead incident triage, escalation, and root cause analysis activities
- Extremely strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external teams
Nice to Have
- Hands-on coding or scripting experience (e.g., Java, Python, Shell, PowerShell)
- Experience supporting cloud-native, containerized, or microservices-based architectures
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release management
- Prior experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments
- Experience creating and maintaining runbooks, operational documentation, and knowledge articles in Confluence
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or providing technical leadership
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
