The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate

  • Experience and/or training in Junior and Senior High Mathematics and Science instruction
  • A strong understanding of the Alberta curriculum and effective instructional practices in Mathematics and Science
  • The ability to create engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote critical thinking, problem solving, and student engagement
  • Experience using assessment data to inform instruction and support student growth
  • The ability to create inclusive learning environments that support a range of learning needs and abilities
  • The ability to differentiate instruction and provide appropriate supports and challenges for diverse learners
  • A commitment to fostering positive relationships and creating learning environments where all students feel valued and supported
  • A willingness to contribute to extracurricular opportunities and the broader school community

Qualifications And General Duties The successful candidate will possess:
 

  • A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • A student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment
  • Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment practices
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology to support communication, collaboration, and student learning
  • The ability to foster positive relationships and create a strong sense of belonging for students
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • A demonstrated commitment to professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
  • A willingness to contribute to extracurricular opportunities and the broader school community would be considered an asset
