Description:

Iris Software Inc., a global IT services and consulting firm serving Fortune 100 clients, is seeking a skilled Tableau Developer for a contract-based hybrid position in Mississauga, Ontario. This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-level analytics and visualization projects, delivering actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making across business functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize complex business data.

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into efficient BI solutions.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all visualizations and data models.

• Optimize dashboards for performance and scalability.

• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to enhance data pipelines and data models feeding Tableau reports.

• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of dashboard or data-related issues.

• Document processes, dashboard logic, and data flows for ongoing maintenance and improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience with Tableau — including dashboard creation, data blending, calculated fields, parameters, and visual design best practices.

• Strong understanding of Tableau internals and data extract optimization.

• Solid experience in data modeling and preparing datasets for visualization.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

• Ability to work collaboratively in hybrid environments across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience integrating Tableau with other BI or data tools.

• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases for data querying and manipulation.

• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
