Description:
Element is looking for a Building Systems Test Technician to conduct various building envelope performance evaluations to well defined standards and/or operating procedures. This position involves sample preparation, general construction, physical testing, equipment maintenance and client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates testing of medium of large-scale building envelope test assemblies.
- Supports construction / fabrication of building envelope assemblies.
- Knowledge of test requirements as per relevant standards and specifications.
- Evaluates building envelope assemblies in accordance with recognized standards
- Involvement in sample preparation, test setup, data collection & analysis and report preparation
- Participates in client correspondence and project coordination.
- Coordinates material procurement and maintains equipment
- Maintains equipment calibrations
Skills / Qualifications
- 2-year college technology program or trades experience.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of engineering concepts and mechanically inclined.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency (MS Office)
- Conducts safe material handling per Element guidelines.
- Experience with forklift and crane operation.
- Experience with common construction power tools.
