Bell, one of Canada’s leading telecommunications and media companies, is seeking a Conseiller, Architecture de Système (System Architecture Advisor) to join its Network team based in Ottawa, Ontario. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work in a high-performing technical environment that supports and maintains secure and complex IT infrastructures.

As part of Bell’s Windows/Linux support team, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining various client solutions within secure environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high system availability, seamless integrations, and compliance with security protocols. This role involves hands-on work in virtualization, automation, and system architecture — ideal for candidates passionate about IT innovation, system reliability, and security.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage Windows and Linux environments to maintain high system availability.

  • Configure and manage virtual server environments, including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and OpenShift.

  • Investigate system vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.

  • Administer and maintain NetBackup and RSA environments.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and procedures.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.

  • Support and manage security policies, authentication processes, and network protection protocols.

  • Engage in system automation using Ansible Automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Perl, and C/C++.

  • Participate in change management processes and lifecycle development for software and infrastructure projects.

  • Ensure systems are compliant with security standards and operational policies.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of experience as a system administrator in Windows/Linux environments.

  • Proficiency in Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016, and Linux RedHat RHEL8–10.

  • Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation.

  • Experience with Cisco UCS servers, SAN storage (Dell Storage, NetApp, or 3PAR), and data management/cloud switching environments.

  • Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and experience with version control systems.

  • Familiarity with security policy administration and certificate authority management.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • MCSA or MCSE certification preferred (Server Infrastructure).

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset — adequate French knowledge is required for Quebec-based roles.

  • Must possess a valid Government of Canada Level II (Secret) security clearance.
