Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), recognized as one of BC’s Top Employers, is seeking an International Student Ambassador to join their dynamic team. This role is designed for enthusiastic and proactive students who are passionate about fostering a sense of community, sharing authentic student experiences, and supporting international recruitment efforts.

As an International Student Ambassador, you will engage with prospective students primarily through the Unibuddy platform, serving as a first point of contact to share your personal insights, answer inquiries, and promote the vibrant academic and campus life at KPU. Your contributions will directly enhance the recruitment and admissions initiatives by providing a welcoming, informative, and engaging experience for international prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively engage with prospective students via the Unibuddy platform, responding to inquiries in a friendly, approachable, and timely manner.

• Share personal experiences and stories to highlight the unique and supportive environment at KPU.

• Provide accurate information about campus life, student resources, and university culture.

• Forward application, scholarship, and admissions-related queries to the Recruitment and Admissions team.

• Actively participate in virtual events, webinars, and outreach initiatives to promote KPU internationally.

• Collaborate with fellow ambassadors to create and implement innovative engagement strategies.

• Maintain records of recurring questions, feedback, and student concerns.

• Generate regular reports identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in international outreach.

• Assist in small-scale projects for divisions within KPU International.

• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to KPU’s policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• Must be a current KPU student (certificate, diploma, or degree).

• Interest in international studies, student services, or related fields.

• Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to take initiative.

• Creativity and research skills.

• Strong organizational skills with reliability, punctuality, and effective time management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English is mandatory, and a second language is an asset.

• Familiarity with KPU student services and resources.
