Steward Supervisor
Support a skilled and engaged team as Stewarding Supervisor, where your care and inspection of all flatware, tableware and kitchen equipment will ensure a superior standard.
What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the Chief Steward, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service while supporting fellow Colleagues
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
- Train and supervise the Stewarding team in following policies and procedures
- Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other areas assigned
- Assign colleagues their duties
- Minimize loss and breakage of china, glassware and silverware
- Provide fast efficient guest service and respond quickly to customer requests
- Ensure Kitchen Colleagues have dishes/silverware as required
- Review banquet event orders and ensure all set-ups and supplies are in place
- Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any items in need of repair
- Following all safety and sanitation policies
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience in a Stewarding environment required
- Valid Alberta drivers license required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications preferred
- Knowledge of chemicals and sanitation preferred
- WHMIS and First aid certified an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
