Description:
Act as a company-wide subject matter expert and advocate for product security.
Directly manage and mentor a small group of security engineers (1-3).
Identify, scope, prioritize, and execute high-impact security initiatives.
Architect complex security solutions and contribute to the long-term security roadmap.
Deliver AppSec, DevSecOps, and other security projects including coding, deployment, incident response, and adoption.
Serve as a trusted point of contact for security inquiries and incidents, ensuring remediation.
Monitor industry trends and security developments to respond proactively.
Collaborate with engineering, IT leadership, and cross-functional teams to implement security best practices.
Maintain high standards for technical excellence, communication, and mentorship.
Work with a technology stack including Node, Python microservices, React, Postgres, Redis, Snowflake, AWS, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI/CD, and Datadog monitoring.
Bonus skills: Bug bounty, Red-Team experience, startup/scaleup exposure, familiarity with fintech security regulations, Datadog APM, AWS/Kubernetes/Python/React/Postgres stack experience.
Compensation (Canada): CA$170,000–$250,000/year depending on region; USA: $174,000–$250,000 USD.
