Staff Physician

Description:

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), one of the world's leading paediatric healthcare centres, is seeking a full-time permanent staff physician to join the Division of Neurology at SickKids and the University of Toronto.

The successful candidate will be an academically oriented Pediatric Neurologist with specialty training in Pediatric Neurology and Neuroinflammatory conditions. They will provide care for children with neuroinflammatory disorders, including acute and chronic management, inpatient consultations, and ambulatory clinics in both general neurology and neuroinflammation. Additionally, the candidate will play an essential role in educating and supervising residents and medical learners in clinical neurology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care for children admitted to the general neurology service.

• Conduct inpatient consultations for neurology and neuroinflammatory services.

• Manage ambulatory clinics in general neurology and neuroinflammation.

• Educate and supervise residents and medical trainees in clinical neurology and neuroinflammation.

• Engage in research, with opportunities for research support for candidates with an established research program.

Qualifications:

• MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree.

• Certification or eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent qualifications.

• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

• Specialized expertise in the diagnosis and management of neuroinflammatory conditions in children.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: 18,916 – 26,750 per month (based on qualifications and experience).
