Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality food products, is under rapid growth and seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team in their new facility in Mississauga. This is an exciting time to join an established company through a period of change and growth.

About The Role

This role will report into the Plant Controller and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations. Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
 

• Leading accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and expense processing.
• Managing the company’s receivables aging
• Delivering assigned month-end and year-end close responsibilities (journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, amortization entries, etc. )
• Completing credit applications for new suppliers
• Assisting with the preparation of payroll entries and reconciliations.
• Assisting with the preparation and reconciliation of cash flow
• Contributing to the implementation of a new ERP system
   

About You
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (or near completion).
• 2+ years full cycle accounting experience
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel) and previous ERP experience is required
• Manufacturing industry experience a definite asset
• Exceptional English communication – written and oral
