Description:
You are a detail-oriented, experienced accounting professional with at least five years of operational accounting experience. You bring strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to provide management with insightful analysis. Experience with dealership or recreational vehicle industries is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth and profitable operation of the Accounting department.
- Provide debt management (cash flow) analysis and make recommendations on the use of funds.
- Oversee daily reconciliation of cash, deposits, banking, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with full analysis of anomalies.
- Manage budgeting and re-forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Complete payroll processing, government remittances, and warranty claim processing.
- Work with Sales Manager and Dealer Principal on cashflow, inventory analysis, and interest accounts.
- Maintain accurate accounting of stock and vehicle inventory with regular audits.
- Develop SOPs for compliance with accounting tasks and BRP programs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years operational accounting experience.
- Accounting designation an asset.
- Strong mathematical and accounting aptitude with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; social media familiarity an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities; detail-oriented.
- Valid driver’s license.
