The Role

The Sourcing Analyst plays a key role in supporting procurement operations and ensuring a smooth, professional experience for both suppliers and internal stakeholders. Strong working knowledge of Excel is essential, along with advanced organizational and tracking skills. Clear, confident communication—both written and verbal—is critical to success in this role. Experience with Coupa is a significant plus.

The Impact You Will Have in This Role

As one of the first points of contact for new suppliers, you directly influence how external partners perceive J.D. Power. Internally, your responsiveness, accuracy, and follow‑through will shape how business partners experience the Procurement function. Your work ensures that supplier onboarding, purchasing processes, and data tracking run efficiently, ultimately supporting the broader organization’s ability to operate smoothly and make informed decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing In This Role
 

  • Managing the onboarding of new suppliers, including outreach to request required documentation and timely follow‑up.
  • Verbally confirming supplier information, recording responses, and maintaining accurate tracking logs.
  • Gathering, organizing, and preparing supplier data for submission to the Sr. Buyer for setup in NetSuite.
  • Supporting Technology Purchase Orders within Coupa, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal processes.
  • Assisting with ad hoc Excel‑based projects, including data cleanup, reporting, and analysis.
  • Providing administrative and operational support to the Sr. Manager, including documentation, scheduling, and process coordination.
  • Maintaining organized records, tracking key milestones, and helping streamline workflows to improve efficiency across the procurement lifecycle.
     

Qualifications For This Role
 

  • Demonstrated capability in Excel, communication (internal and external), and project tracking/organization.
  • Experience working in a corporate or professional office environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven ability to manage fast‑paced, detail‑oriented work with multiple moving parts.
  • Familiarity with procurement or financial systems—especially Excel and Coupa—is a strong plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow‑through, and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing competing priorities.
