Sr Project Manager

Description:

V-Soft Consulting is hiring a Sr Project Manager for a premier client in Toronto, Ontario. The role requires expertise in AI and automation solutions, managing large-scale projects, and handling financials at a program level. The Sr Project Manager will lead complex projects from inception to closure, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ensuring successful execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and develop project requirements to create and maintain detailed project schedules and integrated plans.

• Lead organizational development, strategy, business planning, and Ministry funding requests.

• Establish and participate in steering committees and stakeholder forums, providing project, program, and portfolio reporting to senior executives.

• Resolve resourcing and interpersonal conflicts, negotiate changes to resourcing, and ensure effective knowledge sharing within the team.

• Develop complex project budgets, manage multiple funding channels, and handle cross-ministry dependencies.

• Prioritize and articulate project risks and issues at senior executive levels, recommending mitigation strategies.

• Use strategies to overcome resistance to change and ensure the success of projects through all stages, from concept to close-out.

• Promote best practices for project management and ensure adherence to OPS I&IT standards and methodologies.

• Manage large project budgets, ensuring fiscal control, accountability, and timely reconciliation of estimates, forecasts, and actuals.

Education and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in delivering AI and automation solutions.

• 5+ years managing financials at a program level, including operating and capital expenses.

• 3+ years of experience working with third-party vendors in large-scale organizations.

• Public Sector Experience is preferred.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

• Understanding of Information Management principles and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

• Experience with project monitoring, troubleshooting, and providing ongoing expertise.

• Ability to manage client relationships, provide updates, and address conflicts.

• Expertise in developing and managing project schedules, deliverables, and scope.
