Sr Java Full Stack Developer

Iris Software Inc., a global IT services firm, is hiring a Sr Java Full Stack Developer / Lead to support one of its major clients—one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada—for a long-term contract role based in Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid). This opportunity is ideal for highly experienced professionals with deep expertise in Java technologies, strong leadership capabilities, and a solid background in the financial services domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full stack application development for enterprise-level banking projects

• Work closely with client technology teams and offshore delivery teams

• Take ownership of project delivery from a technical perspective

• Provide technical solutions and architectural guidance

• Design, develop, and implement scalable microservices and APIs

• Participate in CI/CD automation, DevOps processes, and cloud integration

• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer and Technical Lead

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture

• Proficient in Angular 10+, Kafka, MQ, and both Relational & NoSQL Databases

• Experienced in CI/CD, application design, and architectural planning

• Strong ability to communicate technical ideas and lead solution discussions

• AWS experience is a strong plus

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

• Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector is required
