Description:
Reporting to the Director, Cyber Security & Infrastructure, the Sr. Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for all aspects of UFA’s hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This role oversees compute, storage, virtualization, networking, observability, and automation capabilities that support UFA’s enterprise operations. With a technology environment built primarily on Microsoft Azure and Palo Alto Networks, the Sr. Manager drives reliability, modernization, and security across infrastructure services while fostering a high-performance, customer-focused team culture
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the Cloud/Compute/Server Operations and Network Operations teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a customer-oriented mindset
- Manage the configuration, lifecycle, engineering, and performance of core infrastructure services including servers, computer platforms, storage, virtualization, networks (WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi/SD-WAN), and remote access solutions
- Own the optimization and maturity of UFA’s observability platform—including monitoring, logging, analytics, metrics, and alerting—to deliver actionable insights, improve performance, and reduce operational noise
- Lead and optimize enterprise networking technologies with a primary focus on Palo Alto Networks firewalls, security appliances, and policy frameworks.
- Drive cloud-first modernization initiatives, including automation, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and the adoption of standardized architecture patterns
- Lead the maintenance, testing, and enhancement of UFA’s disaster recovery and business continuity programs, ensuring regular DR exercises, documentation accuracy, and resiliency improvements across hybrid environments.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, licensing, and SLAs for cloud, network, hardware, and managed service providers.
- Provide leadership during major incidents, guide root-cause analysis, and drive continual service improvements.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and operational maturity within the infrastructure organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, 3+ years in hybrid cloud environments.
- 4+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams in enterprise settings.
- Strong expertise in:
- Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, monitoring)
- On-prem virtualization and server technologies (Windows & Linux)
- Palo Alto Networks firewall platforms and security frameworks
- Demonstrated experience optimizing observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, SolarWinds, Grafana, Elastic, or similar.
- Experience with DevOps and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Jenkins).
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, Zero Trust, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with strong stakeholders, vendors, and relationship management capabilities.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities.
