Description

Background: The Data Collections Unit within the Data Product Services Branch of CSC has made a considerable investment in Oracle Hyperion Planning to support the learning sector. As part of the ongoing support of this investment, and the need to maintain and enhance of the two main platforms running these applications a specialized IT consultant is required who will be able to manage the EPM software on a Windows and Solaris platform along with some non-EPM components and will also work with our hardware and platform support groups to configure and specific necessary hardware, network and operating system configurations. The scope of this role will include installing new software versions and performing periodic upgrades. The technology stack managed by this resource includes Oracle RDBMS, Oracle OAM, Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE - BI Publisher) and Word Press. There are two applications operating on one platform for which the successful candidate will have to provide the services outlined below:
 

CFIS: The College Financial Information System collects financial statement information from the colleges on budgets, actuals and forecasts on an annual basis and processes this for consolidation with the province’s general ledger and public accounts. The application is built using Hyperion Planning and is deployed across the internet.
FMA: The Funding Model Administration application is used by the Post-Second Information Management Branch (PFIMB) to calculate funding allocations to the colleges and universities in the province of Ontario and to manage the payment of those grants on a bi-weekly basis. The application is built using Hyperion Planning and is deployed across the internet. There is also a module for managing transfer payments (invoices) built in APEX.

Objective: The successful candidate for this engagement will perform technical architecture consulting, infrastructure administration and development support for the above identified applications following all applicable GO-ITS standards, industry best practices while meeting all client business requirements. A resource is also required who I snot only familiar with EPM configuration but who can also assist in configuring, maintaining and supporting a wide-range of ETL processes using ODI.
 

The main task for this engagement will be leading in the upgrade of the FMA/CFIS Hyperion Platform to the most current patch level for EPM.
Scope: The assignment entails working with data center and application support staff to manage and execute necessary outages, upgrades as well as to work with the vendor to manage service requests for any problems resulting from EPM software bugs. An upgrade to 11.2 was recently carried out but it is anticipated that installing and configuring patches will be required as the new software is rolled out and issues are identified. There will also be ongoing project work related to a Word Press implementation as well as ongoing ETL development.
 

Must Have:

Looking for: experience with Infrastructure related roles - set up the software in operating environments, stalling and configuring software properly. Not so much a developer. Also looking for ETL with a focus on ODI.
Demonstrated experience installing, configuring and maintaining Hyperion Planning (Oracle EPM) software stack with some experience installing Hyperion Planning 11.2, and at least three years of dedicated infrastructure experience or equivalent across a longer time period.
At least five years' experience developing and maintaining ETL solutions with some experience using ODI as the ETL tool. Some experience in Informatica also desirable.

Demonstrated experience installing, configuring and maintaining Hyperion Planning (Oracle EPM) software stack with some experience installing Hyperion Planning 11.2, and at least three years of dedicated infrastructure experience or equivalent across a longer time period.
Demonstrated experience installing and configuring EPM to work in an OAM single-sign on configuration.
Demonstrated experience managing software and infrastructure components in the following environments: Linux, Windows Server.
Demonstrated experience installing and configuring APEX, Oracle RDMS, OBIEE (in particular BI Publisher).
Demonstrated experience installing and configuring Word Press in a Linux load-balance environment.
Demonstrated experience managing network components in a complex, load-balance environment.
At least five years experience developing and maintaining ETL solutions with some experience using ODI as the ETL tool. Some experience in Informatica also desirable.
