Solutions Architect

VLink, a fast-growing digital technology services and consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Lead Global Solutions Architect for a full-time or contract role in Montreal, QC (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in architecting, building, and supporting enterprise-level systems in both cloud and on-premises environments. This role is with Synechron, a global digital consulting company known for innovative solutions in AI, blockchain, cloud, data, and software engineering for leading financial institutions.

You’ll play a critical role in shaping solution architecture and enabling robust, scalable technology ecosystems. This is a hybrid position involving cross-functional collaboration, architecture development, and hands-on support of enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects, software and security engineers, and product owners to design architecture for cloud and on-premises technologies.

• Create and maintain architectural artifacts that support secure, reusable, and scalable solutions using approved standards and patterns.

• Provide guidance throughout the development lifecycle—from design through to deployment and operation.

• Facilitate architectural reviews and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and industry best practices.

• Stay up to date on emerging technology trends, especially in solution architecture and enterprise systems.

• Design APIs and data delivery services to support operational systems, data analytics, and machine learning.

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and assist in conflict resolution and decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, MIS, or equivalent.

• 10+ years of overall technology experience, including 4+ years in solution architecture across cloud and on-prem environments.

• Certification in solution architecture and platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft).

• Strong understanding of open API specifications, RESTful APIs, and security.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Scala, Node.js, and SQL.

• Familiarity with enterprise systems in finance, insurance, or banking.

• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Leadership and collaboration experience in cross-functional technical teams.
