About the Testing & Engineering Team

The Testing & Engineering team is the engine behind rapid innovation at Disruptive Edge. We bring ideas to life by prototyping and validating digital, physical, and service-based concepts, integrating AI, intelligent agents, and automation into real-world products. We work closely with cross-functional teams to move from insight to implementation with speed, rigor, and relevance. Our approach combines lean experimentation with both qualitative and quantitative research to ensure solutions are grounded in real user needs. We solve problems rapidly by leveraging emerging tools and technologies. Our core responsibilities include multimodal prototyping, UX and UI design, agentic AI systems, actionable research, and the deployment of scalable solutions.

Role Overview:

As a Solution Engineer, you’ll design and deliver scalable, real-world solutions across a diverse range of domains—from e-commerce platforms to AI-powered tools and autonomous workflows. You’ll build full-stack products, connect automation platforms, and co-create user experiences with designers and researchers.

From creating an AI agent that automates complex workflows to prototyping a digital storefront with Shopify, or launching a web app powered by GPT and Supabase—you’ll move from insight to impact in weeks, not months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and deploy full-stack applications using React, Supabase, Vercel, and modern frameworks
  • Deliver functional web/app solutions, e-commerce flows, and interactive digital tools
  • Design agentic workflows and embed AI agents where useful—leveraging GPT-4, Claude, LangChain, or similar frameworks
  • Develop and orchestrate automation pipelines using Zapier, n8n, Lovable, Flowise, and custom APIs
  • Integrate 3rd-party tools (e.g., Stripe, Shopify, Replit, CRMs) into seamless user experiences
  • Translate business needs and user insights into clear, intuitive, and scalable products through collaboration with designers, researchers, and stakeholders
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and security standards are met in all deployments

Core Competencies:

  • Strong foundation in modern full-stack development, especially with React-based frameworks
  • Comfort working across the stack: APIs, front-end UX, database management
  • Experience with no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Lovable, Flowise, n8n, Zapier, Replit) to prototype and launch quickly
  • Ability to build and integrate automation workflows and AI agents (bonus, not exclusive)
  • Experience with commerce platforms (Shopify, Stripe) and digital product flows
  • Comfort with experimentation and scrappy iteration in early-stage builds
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills—able to align tech with business goals
  • Self-starter with a flexible mindset who thrives in uncertain, fast-paced environments

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of delivering functional MVPs and digital platforms
  • Understanding of agentic workflows and how to design user-centric, AI-enabled systems.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, vector databases, or agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Pinecone) is a strong bonus
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and navigating ambiguity with ease.
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field preferred—but not required with demonstrable experience

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid role based in Toronto, which requires domestic and international travel for client and company events.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada and able to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Reports to the Director of Testing and Engineering.
