A Successful Candidate Typically
 

  • Facilitates Oncology Information System implementations and upgrades, working with both internal and external customers.
  • Coordinates all aspects of project implementation for a client, from initiation to final acceptance.
  • Implementations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems, system/DB integrations or consulting projects/engagements.
  • PM is required to work at client site from time to time.
  • Typically involves extensive interaction with Sales, Service, Logistics, Manufacturing, and other members of our cross-functional teams.
  • Projects are typically focused on the delivery of new or enhanced products for the improvement of customer satisfaction using Technology and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) adoption.
  • Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is required.
  • PMs manage schedules and aligns forecasts to meet business needs.
     

Minimum Required Skills And Knowledge
 

  • Relevant experience in Project Management with Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with problem solving and risk analysis.
  • Confidence in presenting to Varian and customer teams.
  • Strong customer service skills and acumen for keen conflict management and negotiating skills.
  • Experience with high-profile and large corporate account Project/Program Management is required.
  • Extensive project scoping and planning skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: Salesforce, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, OneNote, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have a general knowledge of network infrastructure and design, client/server architecture, Cloud-based hosting, and software implementation process.
     

Desired Skills And Experience
 

  • Knowledge of the use and deployment of Electronic Medical Records software in a healthcare environment, especially as applied to Oncology.
  • Knowledge and experience with interoperability between disparate systems, including HL7 and DICOM standards other desired Skills and Knowledge, PMP certification is highly desired.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater preferred.
