Software Engineer Intern

Syncore Medical Technologies, a major client working with SAIL, is seeking passionate and driven individuals to join our team as Software Engineering Interns. This unpaid internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in health-tech while contributing to the deployment of our next-gen Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system across 120+ clinics and hospitals.

Position Overview:

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work directly with our CTO and senior engineers to help build, secure, and deploy our medical-grade platform. This is a unique chance to gain real-world experience in backend development, CI/CD security, and software packaging in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and server-side logic
• Build and package applications for desktop/mobile deployment
• Integrate authentication, encryption, and vulnerability scanning into our CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure secure, scalable architecture

Qualifications:

• Current student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with frontend and backend languages. mainly Javascript (React, Typescript)
• Understanding of application packaging (Docker, Electron, MSI, etc.)
• Awareness of security best practices (e.g., OWASP, TLS, JWT)
• Bonus: Interest or experience in healthcare IT or EMR systems
