Coinbase is looking for a passionate and skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join the Canada Product Operations & Development (POD) team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Coinbase’s user experience for the Canadian market, developing elegant, high-performance, and secure frontend interfaces that define the next generation of financial technology.

Key Responsibilities:
Build and design intuitive, high-performance frontend experiences using JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks such as React.
Own the implementation of product features that directly influence company growth and revenue.
Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to transform ideas into a scalable, high-quality product roadmap.
Write robust, maintainable, and well-tested code that ensures exceptional customer experience and reliability.
Contribute to the development of complex, large-scale applications, ensuring optimal performance, security, and responsiveness.
Partner with backend teams to integrate APIs and data services, delivering seamless end-to-end functionality.
Engage in continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing performance and user interface interactions.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience building and shipping web applications with JavaScript and modern frameworks (e.g., React).
Deep understanding of frontend architecture, usability principles, and performance optimization.
Proven experience developing user-facing features for scalable, production-grade systems.
Familiarity with backend technologies, including API integration, server-side logic, and database interaction.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Commitment to writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward complex technical challenges.
Nice to Have:
Experience as a Full Stack Developer.
Fluency in English and French.
Experience in public speaking, technical presentations, or participation in developer conferences.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: CA$154,000 per year (CA$12,833/month)
