Software Development Director

Description:

Aon is seeking a highly experienced and driven Director of Software Engineering to lead and grow a new CUDA-focused software development team in Canada. This hybrid role provides the flexibility of virtual work along with access to Aon's offices across Canada.

In this role, the selected candidate will play a pivotal part in leading the design, development, and optimization of GPU-accelerated applications utilizing NVIDIA CUDA. You will work closely with actuaries and financial engineers to translate complex computational needs into high-performance solutions.

Responsibi lities include building and mentoring a versatile engineering team, driving performance optimizations in CUDA, maintaining a strong software engineering culture, and implementing best practices across the software development life cycle. The Director will also contribute to architectural decisions, CI/CD pipelines, and overall product vision while ensuring scalability, security, and high quality.

You will be joining Aon's Strategy and Technology Group (STG), working at the intersection of finance and technology to deliver innovative and impactful solutions for a global client base. This role is central to shaping technical direction and maintaining a strong talent pipeline.
