What you will do:
- Refine requirements, define software architectures, integrate, and test solutions in observability space.
- Be self-motivated and focused in addressing stakeholder and customer needs.
- Understand and engage with open-source related technologies, projects, and foundations.
- Develop a strong and respected presence in project / scrum team.
The skills you bring:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree or higher - Computer Science or related.
- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Master’s, or PhD on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship
- Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or Co-Op term
- Programming experience with strong core proficiency in Java, Go & Python.
- Solid understanding of UI technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, Angular.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker.
- Knowledge of DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, Gitlab, ELK.
- Knowledge of Observability, service mesh & cloud security is an added advantage.
- Experience in product development including familiarity with methodology and processes. Knowledge of Agile methodologies will be desirable.
- Awareness of relevant open-source community norms and behaviours. Experience in open source or inner source communities is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication. While representing Ericsson as a developer, a focus is placed on high emotional intelligence and communication skills.
- The proven track record to work collaboratively in a team-setting, working in a multi-cultural & international environment.
