Software Architect

Description:

Genesys is seeking a Software Architect to join the Search team, responsible for designing and delivering large-scale search capabilities for the Genesys Cloud platform. The role involves collaborating with engineering and product teams to build highly scalable, reliable, and performant search systems that process millions of events per minute and support real-time search across multiple business functions. The position contributes to improving platform features, infrastructure, and search best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy software to enhance platform performance, reliability, and features

• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish and promote search best practices

• Participate in code reviews and ensure engineering excellence

• Troubleshoot and resolve real-time production issues

• Contribute to building scalable, distributed search systems and big-data pipelines

Qualifications:

• Strong Java engineering background with Spring experience

• Expertise in distributed systems and microservices

• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.)

• Knowledge of event-based architecture

• Expertise in Elasticsearch or equivalent search engines

• Experience designing scalable search solutions end-to-end
