Description:
Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation (OLG) is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead social strategy and execution across key platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, Snapchat, and Reddit. This hybrid role requires a dynamic, customer-centric candidate with strong knowledge of sports, entertainment, and betting culture. The successful candidate will contribute to both paid and organic initiatives, act as a key subject matter expert within the social media and paid media team, and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to manage campaigns, performance analytics, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategize and execute both organic and paid social media campaigns for OLG and PROLINE/+
Manage and publish content calendars; optimize ad trafficking
Monitor and engage with online communities to enhance consumer relationships
Collaborate with stakeholders and agencies to manage timelines, content quality, and messaging consistency
Lead agency teams to drive innovative, results-oriented execution
Support customer service social media teams and after-hours brand monitoring
Track and analyze KPIs, campaign performance, and customer sentiment via social listening tools
Attend and represent the brand at live events (occasional evenings/weekends)
Required Qualifications:
3–5 years of relevant experience in social media strategy, content creation, campaign management, and analytics
Strong understanding of creative brief development and execution workflows
Budget, agency, and vendor management experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for campaign planning, execution, and reporting
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in social media marketing, digital marketing, or communications
Knowledge of the regulatory environment, sports betting, and gaming preferred
