Social Media Coordination
Develop & execute social media strategies for SOCAN’s French-language accounts.
Collaborate with English-language social media team for bilingual coverage.
Provide event coverage (SOCAN Gala, awards, creation camps) – occasional travel to Quebec & Toronto.
Monitor member and industry social media to identify engagement opportunities.
Maintain quarterly social media content calendar.
Publish on SOCAN platforms (social media, Paroles & Musique magazine, other channels).
Attend editorial/content meetings with member services stakeholders.
Cover industry events (album launches, festivals, shows) on social media.
Create strategies to grow engagement and audience across all platforms.
Content Creation – Video & Graphic Design
Support multimedia specialist with video research, filming, editing, and subtitling.
Provide graphic design for event invites, digital/print banners, Gala program, social media visuals, presentations.
Supply photo series for magazine, social media, and internal platforms.
Archive photos and videos.
General Marketing & Communications Support
Update music release and event calendars for editorial planning.
Manage inventory & usage schedule for banners and promotional items.
Collaborate on promotional materials and merchandise.
Assist with event logistics and vendor coordination.
Media Relations
Distribute press releases to music media contacts.
Maintain up-to-date media and industry mailing lists.
Postsecondary education in graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, or related.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
Photography skills or strong interest.
Min. 1 year relevant experience.
Strong social media, graphic design, and video editing skills.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Organizational and coordination skills in a fast-paced environment.
