Description:
Athlete Prep is seeking a talented and driven Social Media & Content Manager to lead its digital content and brand storytelling. This part-time contract role is ideal for an experienced content creator who understands athletic culture and can produce compelling content that resonates with high-performance youth athletes.
As the Social Media & Content Manager, you’ll play a critical role in turning raw content into visually and emotionally engaging material for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. This position offers the flexibility of remote work with a preference for candidates based in Toronto.
Create, edit, and publish 3–5 pieces of content per week across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
Transform raw media (photos, video clips, quotes) into polished Reels, TikToks, carousels, and stories.
Write clear, concise, on-brand captions that reflect the performance-oriented voice of Athlete Prep.
Maintain a simple content calendar aligned with training sessions, program launches, and other key events.
Monitor and respond to basic DMs and comments, or escalate more complex messages as needed.
Track engagement, analyze performance, and make data-informed suggestions for content improvement.
Optional: Support promotional campaigns through email or web copywriting.
Proficient in content creation tools and platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Canva, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to write and communicate in a fast-paced, no-nonsense tone.
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and minimal need for supervision.
Experienced in managing or building brand/influencer accounts.
Culturally attuned to sports, fitness, and youth development environments.
Experience with editing software like CapCut, Adobe Rush, or Final Cut Pro.
Ability to occasionally shoot or direct content (not mandatory).
Background in sports performance, fitness coaching, or youth programming is a strong asset.
