Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Social Media Management
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals.
Create, edit, and publish engaging content (text, images, videos) across multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile and YouTube aligned with the social media strategy.
Develop new social content ideas that meet the goals of our story themes. Working with SME to distill engaging ideas into consumable and engaging posts.
Working alongside the Social Media Specialist this role helps manage social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding, voice, and engagement.
Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive online community.
Monitor and moderate user-generated content to ensure appropriateness and brand consistency.
Help implement and manage social media campaigns, including paid advertising, contests, and promotions.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to enhance social media presence.
Content Creation & Web Management
Develop high-quality, engaging web content that aligns with marketing objectives and brand voice.
Manage a content calendar ensuring that all content is kept up to date.
Manage our upcoming blog developing informative and engaging content leveraging social media to expand its reach and engage our customers.
Ensure content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and follows web best practices.
Collaborate with internal teams to create dynamic and visually appealing website content.
Proofread and edit web content to maintain accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Analyze web traffic and user behavior to improve content effectiveness.
Regularly update website content to ensure relevance and engagement.
Analytics & Reporting
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media and web content.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data to improve engagement and reach.
Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and other reporting platforms.
Prepare reports to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and content strategy.
Collaboration & Strategy Development
Work closely with the broader marketing team, design team, and our internal business partners to align social media and web content with overall business objectives.
Create and maintain an editorial calendar and syndication schedule.
Assist with crisis management.
Qualifications required for the position:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media management, content creation and digital marketing.
Agriculture experience an asset
Strong proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Manager, etc.).
Experience with social media management tools (HubSpot, HootSuite, Buffer, BrandWatch etc.).
Knowledge of SEO principles and Google Analytics.
Graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CMS platforms (WordPress), and web design best practices.
Experience with BrandWatch preferred training provided
Proficient in Microsoft 365/Office programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a creative mindset.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
