Description:

Arm is seeking SoC Architects to join its newly forming Solution Engineering SoC architecture team in Toronto. This role is critical for architecting and designing high-volume, sophisticated SoC platforms on advanced nodes, spanning multiple market segments including mobile, automotive, datacenter, networking, and IoT. The position involves both strategic and hands-on responsibilities in designing production-quality silicon with outstanding performance and power efficiency, collaborating closely with internal teams and Arm partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Arm’s SoC architecture based on Arm product IP and system architecture.

  • Collaborate with architecture and core technology teams to support roadmap development for SoC platforms.

  • Work with a team of SoC architects to deliver world-leading SoCs across multiple engagements.

  • Coordinate with core, technology, and software teams to optimize end-to-end platform solutions.

  • Participate in defining key use cases and workloads for Arm IP/platforms.

  • Ensure on-time delivery of Arm IP into SoCs, leveraging insights to shape future IP development.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement, staying current on industry trends and new technologies.

  • Engage in partner/customer-specific architecture discussions, advancing specifications to design and implementation teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Significant experience architecting scalable SoCs on advanced nodes across multiple market segments.

  • Expertise in heterogeneous compute architectures, power management, interconnects, multi-level caching, PCIe/CXL, functional profiling, security, virtualization, memory hierarchies, 2.5D/3D packaging, and performance/power modeling.

  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with executive-level engagement capability.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

  • 10+ years in senior development or leadership roles within the semiconductor industry.

  • Ability to influence across engineering and business organizations, internally and externally.
