Site Reliability Engineer

Anaplan, a global leader in scenario planning and business optimization solutions, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their Ottawa team. With over 2,400 customers including giants like Coca-Cola, LinkedIn, and Adobe, Anaplan is reshaping the way businesses plan and execute with agility.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and scaling Anaplan’s production infrastructure. You'll collaborate with teams across the company to drive automation, reliability, and efficiency within complex systems. The position is hybrid, requiring two days per week onsite in the Ottawa office, and offers the opportunity to be part of an organization recognized for its Winning Culture and commitment to customer success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex changes in production systems.

• Contribute to automation projects to improve scalability and resilience.

• Collaborate across teams to define standards for software operations.

• Support and guide development teams with infrastructure best practices.

• Respond to incidents and conduct thorough root-cause analyses.

• Develop scripts and tools to improve automation and monitoring.

• Work with infrastructure teams to strengthen Anaplan’s platform.

Required Qualifications:

• 3–4 years of experience in a similar SRE or production engineering role.

• Strong Linux administration skills.

• Experience with Kubernetes (admin-level preferred).

• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).

• Experience with configuration management tools is a plus.

• Familiarity with operating and supporting live production platforms.

• Knowledge of Azure or other public cloud environments is advantageous.

• Prior experience with on-call incident management responsibilities.

• Degree in computer science or related field is helpful but not required.
