Description:

Fairgrounds Racket Club is seeking an energetic, organized, and community-focused Site Manager to oversee operations at its Picton, Ontario location. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity for a strong leader with a passion for racket sports, particularly pickleball, to shape the member experience and drive operational excellence at one of Fairgrounds' growing club venues.

As Site Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in staff management, daily operations, program coordination, financial oversight, and community engagement. You will ensure that Fairgrounds' values of inclusivity, hospitality, and excellence are reflected in every aspect of the site’s day-to-day functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Supervise, schedule, and support all on-site staff

  • Foster a team-oriented, inclusive culture that reflects Fairgrounds' values

  • Provide continuous coaching and performance feedback

  • Ensure internal communication and service standards are upheld

Operations Management:

  • Lead daily operational activities to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

  • Conduct daily walk-throughs and resolve facility issues proactively

  • Manage site logistics and improve operational workflows

  • Serve as the main point of contact for escalations and emergencies

Programming & Scheduling:

  • Organize and input court schedules and site programming (clinics, round robins, etc.)

  • Ensure offerings align with both brand goals and member interests

  • Monitor attendance and feedback to enhance engagement

Business & Financial Management:

  • Oversee the location’s P&L, key performance indicators, and budget targets

  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time

  • Support retail operations through inventory management and staff training

  • Maintain transaction integrity through point-of-sale systems

Member & Community Relations:

  • Act as the face of the club for members and visitors

  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with members and community partners

  • Address member concerns with empathy and professionalism

  • Track satisfaction data to inform service improvements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory position

  • Background in hospitality, fitness, sports, or recreation highly desirable

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities

  • Skilled in organizing, scheduling, and problem-solving

  • Financial management experience, including budgets and payroll

  • Proficient with POS, scheduling, or facility software

  • Enthusiastic about customer service and community building

  • Passion or experience in racket sports (pickleball, padel, tennis, etc.)

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week (on-site)

  • Requires availability across various shifts
