In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a production crew, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met while minimizing costs. You will train employees, manage schedules, and promote continuous improvement across all aspects of the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize production processes to increase productivity and improve Yield and First Pass Yield.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality programs.
- Plan and direct daily production activities to meet or exceed targets and align with the monthly shipping plan.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and ensure employee safety through proactive leadership.
- Collaborate with operators and internal stakeholders to effectively solve operational problems.
- Provide or coordinate training to ensure employees meet job performance standards.
- Identify and report mechanical and electrical issues immediately, contributing to thorough failure analysis.
- Engage employees in continuous improvement initiatives to identify and eliminate waste.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience with in-depth knowledge of CNC programming, machine operation, and maintenance.
- Previous experience leading teams and overseeing production work is preferred.
- Strong understanding of business operations, lean manufacturing principles, and process improvement.
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to motivate teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
