Description:
World Agriculture & Opportunities is seeking a dedicated Sheep Feedlot Worker to join their team in Fort MacLeod, Alberta. This on-site role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of a sheep feedlot, ensuring proper care, feeding, and management of the livestock. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
Responsibilities:
Feed and care for sheep in the feedlot according to established schedules and procedures.
Monitor the health and behavior of livestock and report any concerns to management.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the feedlot facilities.
Assist with routine inspections, vaccinations, and other animal husbandry tasks as directed.
Follow safety and operational protocols at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
No formal education required.
Previous experience in livestock handling or agricultural work preferred (7 months to less than 1 year).
Ability to work on-site in all weather conditions.
Physically fit and able to perform manual labor.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
