Trinity Western University’s School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time sessional faculty position running from August 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026. This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about advancing the practice and teaching of nursing in a Christian academic environment.
The School of Nursing at TWU offers undergraduate (BSN) and graduate (MSN and PhD in Nursing) programs and is well recognized for its unique integration of nursing practice with Christian spiritual values. Since the BSN program’s launch in 1993, over 1,000 graduates have contributed significantly to the healthcare sector, while the MSN began in 2009 and the PhD program launched in 2022. The faculty fosters a culture of critical thinking, compassion, justice, and person-centered care—ensuring graduates are prepared for meaningful, equitable contributions in healthcare systems locally and globally.
The ideal candidate will hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), have 4–5 years of recent practical nursing experience, and demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. Preferred qualifications include:
Expertise in one or more practice areas such as medicine, surgery, maternity, mental health, public health, or pediatrics in clinical settings.
Experience in nursing skills labs and simulation-based teaching.
The successful candidate will primarily teach within the undergraduate BSN program, inspiring and equipping students to become highly skilled and compassionate nurses.
