Description:
Alta Equipment Group, the largest equipment dealer in North America, is seeking a full-time Service Manager for its Woodbridge, ON location. The role involves leading the service team, managing daily department operations, and focusing on financial and service performance. Promote safety first and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.

Build strong service relationships with customers to enhance branch performance and profitability.
Oversee staff development and training, both internally and via dealer/industry courses.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
Hire, retain, and manage technicians.
Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment.
Manage maintenance of service vans and efficient dispatch operations.
Ensure technicians charge fair time for internal and external work orders.
Handle department warranty matters.
Track PM completion rates and related work derived from PMs.
Participate in strategic initiatives and projects for organizational benefit.
Ensure timely payroll submission for technicians.
Review invoices and quotes for accuracy.
Maintain policies and procedures for consistent branch operations.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
2-4 years of management experience preferred.
Strong working knowledge of electric and liquid propane units.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer relations and people management skills.
Computer skills: Hyster/Yale Contact Management, Sage Quest, PayTrace, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Intermediate language, reasoning, and mathematical skills.
Frequently stand, sit, use hands, reach, occasionally walk, climb, kneel, crouch.
Lift up to 10 lbs frequently, 55 lbs occasionally.
Work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, outdoor weather, electrical risk, wet/humid conditions.
