Raymond James Ltd., Canada’s leading independent investment dealer, is actively seeking a Senior Vice President, Growth & Development to lead advisor recruitment and strategic expansion initiatives across its Wealth Management division. Reporting directly to the EVP and Head of Wealth Management, this senior leadership role is instrumental in driving the firm’s long-term growth strategy by identifying, attracting, and integrating high-performing financial advisors whose values and professional integrity align with Raymond James' client-first approach and collaborative culture.
The successful candidate will be a highly strategic, visionary, and operational leader with deep industry insight, extensive networks, and a passion for developing scalable recruitment frameworks. This is a pivotal opportunity to influence transformational growth and shape the future of wealth advisory at a premier firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Advance recruitment strategies to attract financial advisors and practices to Raymond James’ various divisions.
Translate high-level business goals into actionable plans and scalable processes.
Collaborate across internal channels (IAS, IFS, RJIC) to build a best-in-class advisor recruitment infrastructure.
Promote Raymond James’ unique value proposition including its compensation models, technology offerings, and advisor-centric culture.
Represent Raymond James at conferences and professional forums to build brand presence and expand industry networks.
Develop a robust lead generation system in partnership with Branch Managers and Lead Agents.
Design and enhance the advisor recruitment journey, including on-site visit experiences.
Use CRM tools and data-driven insights to improve recruitment performance and conversion rates.
Analyze competitive intelligence to refine recruitment strategies and support ongoing growth initiatives.
Continuously assess and enhance recruitment operations to foster innovation and efficiency.
Requirements:
Strategic planning expertise and strong operational execution skills.
In-depth knowledge of investment operations, economic policies, and business valuation models.
Familiarity with securities rules and regulatory frameworks.
Strong communication, negotiation, and executive leadership skills.
Ability to drive large-scale advisor recruitment efforts across multiple regions.
