Senior Technical Analyst

Description:

Yochana is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Technical Analyst to join their Toronto-based team in a hybrid capacity. This position demands a strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and a deep understanding of both business processes and modern technical stacks—particularly in Python and React. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across various departments including business users, developers, QA, and product owners to analyze, document, and improve the architecture and workflows of an existing Python/React application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document functional and non-functional requirements of existing applications.

• Conduct workshops, interviews, and technical walkthroughs with business and technical teams.

• Translate business needs into clear documentation including BRDs, use cases, user stories, wireframes, and process flows.

• Document API interactions, data models, system behavior, and UI/UX specifications.

• Identify system gaps, design improvements, dependencies, and integration points.

• Ensure traceability of business requirements throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 7+ years of experience creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications.

• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting source code, API documentation, and database schemas.

• Working knowledge of Python and React.js to facilitate technical analysis.

• Experience with documentation and project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.

• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and caching systems such as Redis.

• Experience working within AWS environments.

Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days on-site in Toronto, Ontario, and the rest remote.
