Description:
Ingram Micro, a global leader in the IT ecosystem serving nearly 90% of the world’s population, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join its Finance team in Mississauga, Ontario. This hybrid position offers the chance to work on both direct and indirect tax matters, while supporting the company’s operations across Canada and beyond.
As part of the finance division, the Senior Tax Accountant will ensure compliance with tax regulations, optimize tax strategies, and provide expert guidance on tax-related matters. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and government authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with deadlines.
Evaluate tax implications of company actions and develop strategies to minimize liabilities.
Handle direct and indirect tax matters, including provisional computations, reconciliations, and annual tax return submissions.
Monitor new regulations and government budget announcements to assess tax impacts.
Identify, improve, and implement efficient tax processes.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, recommending adjustments as necessary.
Provide support in treasury, statutory audit, and budgeting processes.
Collaborate with government authorities at federal and provincial levels during audits and inquiries.
Manage environmental fees and ensure compliance with related legislation across Canada.
Draft and maintain technical reports, tax correspondence, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Support US tax filings and contribute expertise in international tax, mergers, and acquisitions where applicable.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
Professional designation: CA or CPA required; CMA or CGA considered an asset.
At least 5 years of relevant tax experience, ideally in competitive industries.
Advanced knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
Proficiency with tax software such as OneSource or equivalent.
Recognized subject matter expertise in taxation with proven ability to solve complex issues.
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, time management, and collaboration skills.
