The successful candidate will serve as a key ambassador for the Talk Tobacco program, connecting Indigenous communities, health professionals, and partner organizations to culturally sensitive cessation services. • Implement, monitor, and evaluate community engagement strategies and partnerships.

  • Collaborate with Indigenous-serving organizations and health professionals to increase referrals.

  • Manage program content, promotional material, presentations, and social media strategy.

  • Establish and maintain respectful partnerships with Indigenous communities and organizations.

  • Contribute to strategic planning, program implementation, evaluation, and reporting.

  • Ensure cultural sensitivity in communication, aligning with Indigenous worldviews and wellness practices.

  • Support funding proposals and meet funder deliverables.

  • Engage with internal CCS departments and external stakeholders to integrate services and expand impact.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Postsecondary education in health promotion, public health, Indigenous health, social work, or a related discipline.

  • In-depth understanding of social determinants of health and how they affect Indigenous communities.

  • 5+ years of experience in a related role, preferably in health care or community-based organizations.

  • Experience with program development, evaluation, and promotion, including use of social media.

  • Experience with commercial tobacco cessation strategies and Indigenous health practices.

  • Knowledge of referral pathways in health care and familiarity with CRM systems.

  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Bilingualism in French is an asset; fluency in a First Nations language common in BC is also an asset.

What You Can Expect from CCS:

  • A collaborative and inclusive workplace rooted in the values of Courage, Unity, Caring, and Rigor.

  • Competitive salary and benefits, including health insurance, paid parental leave, and family sick time.

  • A meaningful role where your efforts directly contribute to improved cancer outcomes across Canada.

  • Opportunity to make a real impact on Indigenous health equity and cancer prevention.
