Description:

Mastercard, a global technology leader in the digital payments space, is looking for a Senior Specialist in Product Management to join its Security Solutions team based in Vancouver, BC. This role centers around the Identity Verification Platform and requires a highly analytical and product-driven professional who is passionate about enhancing customer experience and cybersecurity innovation. The successful candidate will help shape and deliver a roadmap for digital identity products and services that are central to Mastercard’s global mission of powering secure, simple, and smart transactions.

As part of a multidisciplinary and global team, you will play a critical role in defining technical product features, collaborating across engineering and business units, and ensuring that new solutions are built with scalability, user value, and security at the forefront.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, manage, and evolve the product roadmap for Mastercard's Identity Verification Platform and associated APIs.

  • Develop deep knowledge of the platform’s components, inputs, outputs, and features to guide decision-making.

  • Support product development lifecycle activities including sprint planning, requirement documentation, and testing.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper implementation and scalable enhancement of products.

  • Translate internal and external business needs into product-driven features.

  • Perform technical and market analysis to inform go-to-market strategies and identify product optimization opportunities.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams, to ensure alignment and delivery of product goals.

  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks and obstacles related to features, timelines, and resources.


Requirements:

  • Strong experience working with APIs, data-centric applications, and databases.

  • Prior success in product management or product ownership roles, ideally with experience in financial, ERP, CRM, or compliance-related solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within large, global, and matrixed organizations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey complex technical topics to varied audiences.

  • Excellent technical analysis and documentation skills, including user stories, interface specifications, and functional requirements.

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to drive decisions, problem-solve, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline preferred.
