They are currently seeking a Principal Software Developer (Senior Software Engineer – Level 7) to join their Global Research & Development team in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that combines technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership to ensure the successful design, development, and validation of product backlog items.

As a Principal Software Developer, you will be responsible for engaging in technical design and review processes, writing and reviewing code, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring all backlog items meet quality and functionality standards. You will collaborate closely within a Scrum Squad, ensuring that deliverables meet the "Definition of Done," while also producing and maintaining technical documentation. Beyond development, you will provide leadership by coaching and mentoring team members, contributing to technical innovation, and driving best practices across the R&D function.

The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience in C#, .NET, SQL, React, AWS, Postgres, and Docker, as well as expertise in solution architecture, database modeling, and testing frameworks. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence both within the team and across the wider R&D organization are key to success in this role.
